Doors Opens 2026 happens next weekend with 168 possible locations inviting you to explore and learn about each building, its history, its construction, its role in the community, and some asking you to consider its future. The theme of the event this year is FIFA. With the World Cup coming to the city, you may find a few buildings on the list that make sense for the soccer event.

If you’re curious about the buildings and the architects who built for the faithful, you’ll find everything from mosques to temples to churches. There are a lot of these magnificent buildings in Toronto and if you don’t practice a particular faith this is a great opportunity to explore these buildings. You will also find libraries, schools, factories and more.

We have 3 suggestions that are not too far afield, but please check the list; there may be more.
