Candidates on the Northern Edge and Periphery

In their last contest Padovani came within 94 Votes of defeating Nunziata.

Chiara Padovani and Frances Nunziata will be facing off again for the 3rd time in the northern part of the neighbourhood, in the riding of York South-Weston. Nunziata is now the longest serving incumbent councillor in the city of Toronto. In their last contest, Padovani came within 94 votes of defeating Nunziata. Padovani, a human rights activist and social worker, works with the North York Harvest Food Bank. She helped found the York South-Weston Tenant Union.

Also running for the York South-Weston seat are: Sharmarke Ali, Matthew Boateng, Daniel Di Giorgio, Maryama Farah, Ahmed Mawel, Nekpen Obasogie, and Sileen Phillips.

In the western neighbouring riding of Etobicoke-Lakeshore, Councillor Amber Morley is facing a challenge from Mihaela Andrei, Anthony Internicola, and Ted Opitz. Opitz is a former Conservative Member of Parliament.

In Davenport, the neighbouring riding to the east, Councillor Alejandra Bravo will run again against Ashley Jansen, Marco Martins, and Neil Simon.
