A fascinating history is kept alive by the Swansea Historical Society who will host a Jane’s walk this May in honour of the centennial. Walks through the neighborhood are held annually by the Horticultural Society who will be hosting a centennial themed floral competition as part of the celebration. Area seniors will present art works from its members.
On Sunday Swansea kicked off its centennial celebration with Neighborhood Notes a Music Day at Swansea Town Hall. Along with Swansea Area Senior’s Association, Swansea Historical Society, Swansea Horticultural Society and Swansea Area Ratepayers Association, events will be held throughout 2026 to mark the milestone.
Check in with the Swansea Town Hall website to learn more about the many ways Swansea continues to build a strong and vibrant community. Bordered by High Park to the east, the Humber River to the west, Bloor St. West north, then south to the lake; there is something for everyone in this part of the city. You can ice skate at Rennie Park, hike along the Humber river or shop on Bloor West.
All are welcome to learn more about how to be part of the fun. Congratulations Swansea, here’s to the next 100 years!
